The Role
As a Receptionist, you will provide an effective, efficient and professional front-of-house service to members of the public and National Park colleagues.
Providing a reception and switchboard service, you will ensure calls are answered promptly and transferred appropriately, whilst presenting a professional and friendly face for visitors.
You will also book conference and meeting rooms, assist with tea and coffee making and maintain stock levels of catering supplies for such meetings.
Additionally, you will:
- Manage an email inbox
- Provide a bilingual word processing support service
- Process credit card payments and produce end of day card payment reports
About You
To be considered as a Receptionist, you will need:
- Fluency in Welsh
- Experience of administrative work in a busy office environment
- Experience of dealing with general public enquiries at reception level
- Excellent word processing skills
- Proficiency in IT
- At a minimum, an NVQ Level 3 qualification in business administration or equivalent

The Role
As an Information Centre Assistant, you will be responsible for providing guidance and assistance to our visitors about the area, promoting the safe and responsible use of the Eryri National Park.
You’ll respond to a range of enquiries, especially those about the local area, both face to face and online. You’ll promote local attractions, encourage respect and appreciation of the special qualities of the park and champion the work of the National Park Authority.
Assisting with building our online presence, you’ll contribute stories and information to be used as content for our corporate social media accounts.
You’ll support the day-to-day maintenance and running of the centre, updating visitor information, selling goods, and replenishing stock and ensuring it is clean and tidy.

The Role
As a Seasonal Foreshore Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Llyn Tegid foreshore building, car park and adjacent area.
At four miles long and three quarters of a mile wide, Llyn Tegid is Wales’s largest natural lake. Managed by the Snowdonia National Park Authority as a recreational resource, we protect the lake and it’s unique biodiversity. The site becomes extremely busy during the heights of the main holiday season, and needs effective management to avoid congestion, potential issues between visitors and disruption to services.
Promoting the responsible use of Llyn Tegid and the local area, you’ll provide basic safety and orientation advice and assistance to the public and visitors, ensuring the highest standards of customer care.
You’ll assist with the day-to-day management of the site, overseeing all car parking activities including traffic management, handling cash, ensuring pay and display machines are operating correctly and enforcing car parking charges.
Additionally, you will:
- Deal with enquiries and complaints
- Participate in periodic customer reviews
- Ensure the site is kept to a high standard of cleanliness
- Promote the observance of the Countryside Code and local codes of conduct
About You

About Us
Snowdonia National Park Authority protects the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of Eryri National Park. Covering 823 miles of diverse landscape, the Park is home to over 26,000 people, the highest mountain in Wales and the largest natural lake in Wales.
We are now looking for Seasonal Wardens to join our team on a full-time basis, for a fixed term contract until the end of September 2023.
We have roles available in Betws y Coed, Pen y Pass, Bala, Dolgellau and Partneriaeth Ogwen.

The Role
As a Seasonal Warden, you will help visitors to enjoy Snowdonia National Park whilst protecting the stunning landscape, wildlife and environment, supporting the interests of local residents and landowners.
Our warden service supports car parks, picnic sites, paths, trails and other properties owned and managed by the Authority, monitoring activities and helping with maintenance.
Additionally, you will work with community groups and volunteers, provide information, lead guided walks and help out with educational visits. Where required, you will also liaise with the emergency services.
About You
To be considered as a Seasonal Warden, you will need:
- To be able to communicate effectively in both Welsh and English
- Experience of engaging and working with the public
- Experience and knowledge of mountain walking
- Knowledge of current access and recreational issues and their impact on National Park purposes
- Knowledge of outdoor activities and understanding of safe and responsible use of Snowdonia
- Good communication skills
- A full, valid driving licence
