We are now looking for a Receptionist to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis, working 22 hours per week from Wednesday to Friday. We are also currently advertising similar roles if you are looking for full time hours.

The Role

As a Receptionist, you will act as the first point of contact for visitors to our National Park Office.

As the friendly face of our offices, you’ll greet visitors, answer enquiries and promptly respond to phone calls and emails.

You’ll undertake a range of admin and finance duties, process payments in person and over the phone, handle small cash payments, send receipts and invoices and log cheques.

Additionally, you will:

- Book meeting rooms
- Maintain stock of office supplies
- Maintain accurate records
- Process business mileages

About You

To be considered as a Receptionist, you will need:

- Experience of administrative work in a busy office environment
- Experience of dealing with general public enquiries
- Excellent word processing skills
- At a minimum, an NVQ Level 3 in business administration or equivalent

The Role

As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide a comprehensive administrative support service across the organisation.

The Role

As the Pen y Pass Car Park Attendant, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the seasonal pre-book parking system, ensuring the sites and facilities are presentable.

You’ll manage the pre-book parking system, direct other traffic to alternate parking sites and manage the car park entrance to ensure only pre-booked users have access.

As the friendly face of the car park, you’ll field enquiries and complaints from car park users, providing advice and assistance as needed.

Additionally, you will:

- Maintain, clean, restock and empty Pay and Display machines
- Liaise with engineers to ensure machines are fully operational
- Provide emergency cover in other sites as and when required

About You

To be considered a Car Park Attendant, you will need:

- Fluency in both Welsh and English
- A responsible and accurate approach to dealing with money
- The ability to engage with the public courteously, sometimes in difficult situations
- Good knowledge of the Snowdonia area
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- A full, valid driving licence

The Role

As a Seasonal Warden, you will help visitors in Dolgellau and Bala to enjoy Snowdonia National Park whilst protecting the stunning landscape, wildlife and environment and supporting the interests of local residents and landowners.

Working as part of our warden service, you will work at car parks and picnic sites, maintain paths and trails and assist at other properties owned and managed by the Authority, monitoring activities and helping with maintenance.

Additionally, you will work with community groups and volunteers, provide information to visitors, lead guided walks and help out with educational visits.

About You

To be considered as a Seasonal Warden, you will need:

- Fluency in Welsh and English
- Experience of countryside management, recreation and access issues
- Experience of working with landowners and managers, local authorities, representative bodies or voluntary agencies
- An HND (or equivalent qualification) in Land Management or another relevant subject, or extensive experience in relevant areas of work
- A full, valid driving licence

The Role

As a Seasonal Foreshore Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Llyn Tegid foreshore building, car park and adjacent area.

At four miles long and three quarters of a mile wide, Llyn Tegid is Wales’s largest natural lake. Managed by the Snowdonia National Park Authority as a recreational resource, we protect the lake and its unique biodiversity. The site becomes extremely busy during the heights of the main holiday season and needs effective management to avoid congestion, potential issues between visitors and disruption to services.

Promoting the responsible use of Llyn Tegid and the local area, you’ll provide basic safety and orientation advice and assistance to the public and visitors, ensuring the highest standards of customer care.

You’ll assist with the day-to-day management of the site, overseeing all car parking activities including traffic management, handling cash, and enforcing car parking charges.

Additionally, you will:

- Deal with enquiries and complaints
- Participate in periodic customer perception / views audits
- Ensure the site is kept to a high standard of cleanliness
- Promote the observance of the Countryside Code and local codes of conduct

About You

To be considered as a Seasonal Foreshore Supervisor, you will need:

- Fluency in Welsh and English
- Experience of people management and/or customer care
- Experience of dealing with money, responsibly and accurately
- An awareness of water safety issues
- Good communication skills
- Good local knowledge
- A full, valid driving licence
